What go me into the beauty industry?
When I was in college, all my friends used to come to me on Friday nights to have me do their hair and makeup before we all went out. Once I realized I was decent at it, I began taking more classes related to makeup and costume design!
My favorite thing about being a part of someone's wedding day is-
My favorite thing about being a part of someone’s wedding day is, seeing their face when they look in the mirror for the first time all done up. Being able to say that the style I created, made someone feel the most beautiful they have ever felt, really makes what I do worth it.
If I wasn't a Hair stylist, what would I be?
If I wasn’t a makeup artist/hairstylist, I would be working in the music industry. 
The one thing i don't think I could live without is-
I don’t think I could live without raspberry pure leaf tea.

I love to ski!
When I'm not glamming beauty's all day you can find me-
When I’m not glamming beauties, you can find me hanging out with my friends/family and giving love to all their pets.
The thing that means the most to me is-
The thing that means the most to me are my friends and family. They have helped mold me into the person I am today, and without having them around to share my day to day life with, I would be lost. 
My favorite eats-
My favorite eats are either  homemade gnocchi or homemade pizza.
If I was stranded on an island and could only bring 3 things with me they would be-

Valerie Is a Master Makeup Artist, and Licensed Cosmetologist living in West Albany, NY. After graduating from Loudonville Christian High School, She decided to stay local, and attend Siena College. After four years, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a focus in Makeup and Wig Design, and a minor in Writing and Communications.  She did a lot of theatrical makeup/hair work while attending Siena, and even got nominated to present her Senior Capstone Project, (The Makeup and Wig design for the show, The Drowsy Chaperone) at The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Like many other college graduates, Valerie didn’t exactly know what the next step was, so, after much contemplation, she decided to move to NYC to pursue her dream of becoming a makeup artist. She began school at The Makeup Designory (MUD) in Manhattan. This is where she flourished and really honed in on her makeup skills.

 

Valerie’s favorite kind of makeup to do is Special FX makeup. She loves creating monsters and horror creatures. She even got nominated to do an FX makeup demonstration for the MUD booth at IMATS NYC. But don’t get us wrong, she also learned the ins and outs of beauty makeup, fashion makeup/photo-shoots, and hairstyling, all of which she loves! After graduating from The Makeup Designory with her Master Makeup Certificate, she decided that the next step would be to get her cosmetology license. So, she moved back upstate and began school at Paul Mitchell The School- Schenectady where she learned the art of hair coloring, haircutting, and everything in between. This is where she learned to love the hair industry, and ultimately what brought her to us at The Make-Up Lounge. She is passionate about this industry and strives to mix her creativity, with your concept, to create one of a kind, gorgeous

If I was stranded on an island I would bring 1.Sunscreen because, your girl BURNS. 2. A fire starter. 3. An industrial roll of duct tape.
